LANDS

LANDS- Leveraging Actions with Nature for Development and Sustainability
LANDS aims to strengthen the skills of public bodies, urban planners and trainers to make Nature-based Solutions (NbS) concrete tools for climate adaptation and urban regeneration. To do this, the project will leverage one of the main products developed by the URWAN project (Interreg Euro-MED) called the “URWAN Catalogue”, transforming it into a tool designed to deepen knowledge about NbS in order to support end users in co-designing the most suitable solutions. In addition, the project will promote knowledge about NbS through the Startpark methodology, a serious game that promotes a participatory approach to the co-design of urban spaces, raising awareness of climate change issues. By connecting vocational training with environmental innovation, the project promotes the development of new skills for designing and managing greener and more inclusive cities. Through a collaborative and transnational approach, LANDS promotes a common vision of sustainable development, strengthening dialogue between public bodies, trainers and professionals engaged in the transition to urban sustainability.
IRIDRA serves as the technical knowledge provider of the LANDS project, leading Work Package 2 (Knowledge Transfer & Capacity Building) and developing the Digital Toolkit that builds upon and expands the URWAN NbS Catalogue. It delivers training sessions, online courses, and scientific guidance to guarantee the technical soundness and practical applicability of the project’s outputs.
The project is coordinated by the Energy and Water Agency (Malta), and involves numerous international partners, including SVI.MED – Euro-Mediterranean Center for Sustainable Development (Italy), Fundación MUSOL (Spain), Province of Avellino (Italy) and Sustainable City Network – SCN (Greece).
The project, funded under the Erasmus+ (KA220-VET – Cooperation Partnerships in Vocational Education and Training), started in September 2025 and will end in August 2028, for a total duration of 24 months, with a total budget of €250,000.00, contributed by the European Commission, including €38,000.00 allocated to Iridra.
